Camden National Bank appoints Andrew Forbes as Chief Human Resources Officer

Camden National Bank has appointed Andrew Forbes as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, Forbes will lead critical human resources functions, including enabling and cultivating a diverse workforce to serve the financial needs of Camden National’s communities and drive the company’s commitment to being a great place to work.

“Andrew has experience leading human resources for large, complex organizations, all while keeping people and culture at the center of his work,” said Simon Griffiths, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank, in a news release. “I look forward to partnering with him to implement best-in-class programs for our colleagues and in support of the business objectives and strategic direction of the company. He will be an important addition to our executive team as we continue to strategically grow the bank and develop an award-winning workforce with an emphasis on our core values.”

Forbes is a seasoned human resources professional with more than 20 years of public company experience. He most recently served as Chief People Officer at Alcom, LLC. He gained expertise in talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, culture, and engagement at Maine Medical Center and Fairchild Semiconductor. He holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Maine. Forbes is a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
