BRUNSWICK — On a beautiful afternoon on Peter Gardner Field in Brunswick, the Camden Hills varsity boys soccer team went down a goal early in the first half before storming back with three goals in the final 15 minutes of the game to take the win on the Dragon's home turf.

After an opening 15 minutes that saw the Windjammers dominate territorially and possession wise, the Dragons opened the scoring with rare foray into the Windjammer end of the field as Judah Greenwald hit a cross that found its way into the 'Jammer net and was credited with the goal.

The score remained 1-0 at halftime.

In the 65th minute Cam Brown would be taken down in the penalty area and a penalty kick was awarded. Brown would emphatically score the penalty to tie the game at 1-1.

Twelve minutes later Brown would use his chest to settle a rebound outside the penalty box and then crush a volley that knuckled and dipped at the last moment under the crossbar for the go ahead goal.

Less than one minute later Senior Captain Sam Brownawell would turn and deliver a strike from 20 yards that kissed the upper 90 and put the 'Jammers ahead for good 3-1.

Camden held the edge in shots, 17-3, and corner kicks, 8-2. Henry Pharris made one save for the 'Jammers while Brady LaForge made seven saves for the Dragons.

Today was a really incredible performance by the boys. We got down a goal early but didn't panic and just kept playing our game and eventually it paid off.

Both Cam and Sam scored highlight worthy goals today, as good as you will ever see in a high school game, which was impressive.

It was a lot of fun and we are full of belief in what we can do. It's the end of the regular season and we've played a lot of games in a short period of time the last couple weeks, we will ice our sore bodies and try and turn around quickly for an epic tilt with Lewiston in Lewiston on Saturday.
