Camden Hills girls soccer team remains ranked 20th in the nation
ROCKPORT — The Camden Hills varsity girls soccer team will spend a second consecutive week within the top 20 of the national rankings and the third consecutive week as a nationally ranked squad.
In the eighth edition of the USA TODAY Super 25 girls soccer rankings, the Windjammers remained ranked 20th in the nation, thus not moving up at all compared to last week’s edition.
Interestingly, the Windjammers are the only team from Maine ranked.
Other teams on the list hailed from New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, Indiana, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Oregon, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Washington and Kentucky.
The Super 25 rankings are compiled by United Soccer Coaches in coordination with USA TODAY High School Sports based on results from the current season, quality of players and strength of schedule.
The next iteration of the rankings will be released Tuesday, Oct. 22.
