DAMARISCOTTA — The Miles Memorial Hospital League is issuing its final call for artists to exhibit their works in the hospital’s Hall Gallery during the 2022 calendar year. Final deadline for consideration of artwork will be Monday, October 25.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the league’s Art Committee is unable to conduct in-person jurying as it has in the past, but will jury artwork via submission of jpeg images.

Also, due to the pandemic and in an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, the league has shortened the year’s exhibit schedule to six shows of approximately two months each. At the present time, the exhibits will not be open to the public, but the league hopes that the exhibited art will bring some large measure of interest, peace, serenity and comfort to the staff, patients, and visitors during these trying times, according to a Miles Memorial Hospital Art Committee news release. 

Paintings, drawings, prints, and photography will be accepted for consideration. Sculpture or textiles cannot be juried and shown in the hospital.
