Wednesday, June 2, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Camden Brain Injury Support Group. This group welcomes survivors, family and friends of stroke survivors, and anyone faced with a neurological challenge. The group meets first Wednesdays at 10:00 am in the Children’s Garden near the underground entrance to the Camden Public Library. For more information call 273-2090.

Thursday, June 3, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Let’s Talk About Energy, Part 4: Maine’s Future. This final session in the “Let’s Talk About Energy” series steps up the conversation to the state level. Local thespian Joseph Coté will read aloud selections from David Guterson’s novel. Gripping and densely atmospheric, the book is a masterpiece of suspense– one that leaves us shaken and changed. New readings become available to watch every Friday at 11:00 am in the “videos” section of the library’s YouTube Channel and Facebook Page.

Friday, June 4, 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Stewardship Education Alliance (S.E.A. Fair). Visit the Camden Amphitheatre for an afternoon of learning and fun. This will be an opportunity for the public to come out and meet representatives from sixteen local nonprofits that support responsible stewardship of the environment. This family-friendly event will offer activities including a mobile marine tank, story time with librarian Miss Amy, drawings for excellent prizes from local businesses, and much more! Rain date is Saturday, June 5.

Maine Coast Workshop is hosting Grabovetskiy at their studio in Camden for a 5-day immersion workshop. Musical instrument creator and Sound Therapist Jim Doble will create waves of sound to help participants sonically cleanse, rejuvenate, rest, and recuperate. Tuesday, June 29, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mainely Power and Wolfe Trap: A Double Book Event with Author Matt Cost. This online event will serve as a launch for Cost’s new book Wolfe Trap, his debut novel in a new series surrounding a PI, Clay Wolfe, in the fictional coastal town of Port Essex, Maine. Another of Cost’s books, Mainely Power, was selected by the Maine Humanities Council as their 2021 fiction choice for this summer’s statewide reading experience called “Read ME.” Cost will present both books in a lively Zoom program that is sure to get audiences excited to dive into these thrilling mysteries. Email jpierce@librarycamden.org to request a Zoom link to attend.
