Burstein defeats Weston in Maine House District 96

In a contest between political newcomers, Christine Burstein (D-Lincolnville) has defeated Peter Weston (R-Montville) for the newly created House District 96 seat on the Maine Legislature.
House District 96 includes the towns of Belmont, Liberty, Lincolnville, Montville, Morrill, Palermo and Searsmont.
Incumbent Rep. Jethro Pease (R-Morrill) did not seek re-election after one term as House Disrict 44 representative.
