FRIENDSHIP — Salt Pond Studio presents “Bossies and Burls” paintings by Art Schaefer and wood turnings by Stephen Tofield.
“Award winning Union artist Art Schaefer fills the gallery with his personality driven oil paintings of belted Galloways and cows of all makes and models,” said Pam Cabañas, in a news release. “Wood turner extraordinary Stephen Tofield sets a 3-D compliment to the exhibition with a bewildering collection of burl bowls of all sizes. The artist and the craftsman together create a superb exhibition.
Join the artists at the opening celebration on Saturday, June 29, from 3 - 7 p.m., at Salt Pond Studio, 522 Cushing Road, Friendship.
Exhibition runs from June 27 thru July 14,2024.
Gallery hours are Thursday thru Sunday 12 – 5 pm.
Salt Pond Studio is located at 522 Cushing Road, Friendship, Maine in the renovated pre-civil war schoolhouse at the corner of Salt Pond Road and Rte. 97. Owner Pam Cabanas treats all comers to a lively event featuring not only fine art, but a fun evening of barbecue and beverage under the tent, and conversation around the firepit.
