Birder Don Reimer to discuss the fascinating world of Corvids
CUSHING — Join lifelong local birder and photographer Don Reimer, Sunday, January 12, at 2 p.m., at the Cushing Public Library, and explore the fascinating world of the Corvids, a highly intelligent and resourceful family of birds.
Are you curious about the remarkable intelligence of Corvids (also known as the crow family), the brainiacs of the bird world? Can you tell the difference between a crow and a raven?
Don Reimer will answer these questions, and more. The Thomaston Public Library is co-sponsoring this collaborative community event, which is free and open to the public.
Reimer will focus on Maine’s five species of Corvids – Common Raven, American Crow, Fish Crow, Blue Jay and Gray Jay.
His 2020 book, Seen Anything Good?, highlights his six decades of birding experiences. Reimer’s column “Birding with Don Reimer” appears regularly in the Midcoast Villager.
