Bird Time on the Coast continues with more walks

Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and Friends of Maine Coastal Islands (FOMCI) NWR continue the bird watching series called “Bird Time on the Coast” with early morning walks in Midcoast Maine and one walk Downeast at Petit Manan Point.
Local bird experts who are knowledgeable about birds in the area lead trips to some of their favorite bird hotspots.
Bird Time on the Coast is open to all birdwatching abilities from beginners to advanced. Dates and times for June and July bird walks now are set. Walks will continue through October, so check the FOMCI website or sign up for their e-news to learn about other scheduled walks as they are organized.
Registration is required to participate. Register on the FOMCI website at www.mainecoastislands.org/events. Walks are free and scheduled from 7 to 9:30 a.m. The trips are limited in number to ensure a great birding experience, according to FOMCI, in a news release.
