ROCKPORT — Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital welcome Benjamin Mason, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to their Diabetes and Nutrition care teams.

Mason began his medical career serving for three years as an Advanced EMT for North East Mobile Health services in Biddeford. After receiving his nursing degree, Mason worked as a medical/surgical registered nurse at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta. He then moved on to emergency department nursing, working for three years in Maine General’s emergency department before moving to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. Most recently, Mason worked as a family medicine nurse practitioner at Maine Dartmouth Family Practice in Waterville.

Mason earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine in Portland in 2016, and his Master of Nursing from the University of Maine in Orono in 2022. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in public management from the University of Maine.

Mason is now seeing patients for diabetes care and management.
