Belfast Toast Masters seek additional members
BELFAST — Toast of the Mid-Coast Toastmasters, in Belfast, is a new chapter of Toastmasters International. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesdays each month, at 6 p.m., at Springbrook Hill clubhouse.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 357,000 in more than 16,600 clubs in 143 countries.
Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders, according to Belfast Toast Masters, in a news release.
The group is looking for an additional eight members so that it can become an official chapter. Once the chapter is established the group and its members can progress towards gaining recognized qualifications through a pathway process.
