Belfast Free Library hosts exhibit of local artist Joan Proudman’s work

    BELFAST— Safe Room, an exhibit of photomontage prints by Joan Proudman will be on display in the Kramer Gallery of the Belfast Free Library through January and February of 2022.

    Joan Proudman is a photomontage and photo manipulation artist and a graphic designer. Her images are often symbolic and represent her personal quest for meaning in life. Proudman created the prints in this exhibit during the Covid-19 Pandemic; she stated that “they are a reflection of this time we are in.”

    Proudman’s work has been featured on book covers, CDs, manuals, magazines, and in online journals. Her piece "Rite of Passage" which depicts the current transformational crisis won special mention in Mozaik Philanthropy's Future Art Awards national art competition 2020.
