Bay Chamber offers 2025 Spring classes
From songwriting to youth choir to the ukelele ensemble, Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School is gearing up for spring. Bay Chamber also offers private lessons with accomplished faculty members.
Lessons are offered in strings, voice, percussion, guitar, ukelele, flute and trumpet.

Spring Classes:
Songwriting for Everyone with Mike Whitehead
Explore songwriting in a safe and supportive environment. Learn techniques to tap into your inner songwriter! Mondays from 6-7 PM. Begins February 3.
Fingerstyle Ukulele Class with Jeff Weinberger
In this fun class, we explore proper right hand technique. Students will use this skill set to explore several styles and learn to play actual songs. Mondays from 6:15-7:15 PM. Begins January 27.
Youth Choir with Sierra Lary
This class focuses on choir fundamentals: voice, choral singing, rhythm, and ear training. The music covered will include rounds, partner songs, and unison songs in a range of styles. No music reading required. Ages 7-12 welcome. Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Begins February 3.
Choral Intensive with Sierra Lary
This half-hour class for more advanced singers is an addition to the Youth Choir class. Basic music reading is required. Exceptions may be made at the instructor’s discretion. Children must be part of the Youth Choir to participate. Mondays from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Begins February 3.
Jazz Ensemble with Mike Whitehead and Nate Martin
Explore jazz in a fun, supportive environment. We’ll use simple tunes to learn key components of jazz: rhythm, harmony, melody, improvisation, and group interplay. Tuesdays from 6-7:30 PM. Begins January 28
Ukulele Ensemble with Jeff Weinberger
This class will explore many styles of musical arrangements, learning both simple and complex parts. The culmination is a performance for family and friends. All levels of proficiency are welcome. Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM. Begins January 22.
Recording 101 with Mike Whitehead and Nate Martin
This course covers the basics of sound engineering: microphone selection, setting levels, mixing, and track editing, everything needed to create a professional recording. Thursdays from 6-7 PM. Begins February 6.
