BAHS students taking the BMI's course of Marine Studies this fall with Ms. Genna Black and Mr. Chip Lagerbom have been taking water safety instruction with John McMillan. This will allow them to help with the program's Kelp Farm that has been established off Belfast City Park and safely go out on any BMI watercraft. 

Survival skills in the pool included learning about PFDs (personal flotation devices) and how to put-on, take-off, maneuver, tow and assist in the water.
