STOCKTON SPRINGS — During the early morning hours of December 22, 2021, Arlene E. (Holmes) Smith, 79, of Stockton Springs peacefully ended her journey here on earth with her children at her bedside to be evermore with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Arlene was born at home on December 12, 1942, to Andrew and Augusta Holmes of Stockton Springs.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Prospect, Maine where she will be buried next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers and in accordance with her love for animals, please consider sending donations to a no-kill shelter in her name.
