Appleton Town Office reopens, with guidelines
The Appleton Town office staff has been working throughout this pandemic; however, the public has not been allowed inside the office. Beginning today, June 15, the town has limited public access to the Town Office.
The town asks citizens to use electronic means for transactions, if possible.
To make a payment, put it through the mail slot in the back door or send it in the mail.
No more than three people will be allowed into the office at a time, excluding staff.
Unless absolutely necessary, go alone to the town office.
After three people have entered, citizens must wait outside until a customer has left the building.
Couples wishing to apply for a marriage license must call to make an appointment.
A FACE MASK WILL BE WORN BY ALL PEOPLE ENTERING THE BUILDING AND THE 6 FOOT DISTANCE RULE SHOULD BE FOLLOWED.
IF YOU CAN NOT WEAR A MASK, PLEASE CALL 785-4722 TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND STAFF WILL HELP YOU AT CURBSIDE.
The majority of code, assessing, finance and vehicle registry issues/questions can be handled by phone or email. Appointments can be made if necessary by calling the office.
The restroom in the Town Office is closed to the public.
“Thank you for your patience in working through this situation with us,” said the Town of Appleton.
