THOMASTON –The Fourth of July is celebrated the entire day in Thomaston, from the late morning Main Street parade to fireworks after dark.

In the middle of the day, community members and visitors gather for food, music, children’s activities and more. The crowd bought up over 200 chicken barbeque dinners in a flash, children ran around and tried out an obstacle course, bouncy house and water slide, a steel band turned out upbeat tunes and car enthusiasts showed and talked about their vehicles.
