Both said the ride is so comfortable, “they’re like rolling futons.” The statewide organization supports the biker community, raises funds and is an organization non-bikers can join. Kevin Gardner from Thomaston is a big fan of Sparco, a racing company that makes wheels, seats, safety equipment and more. He built this limited-edition vehicle including all the wiring for sub-woofers. He does sound competitions and brings it to car shows. (Photo by Susan Mustapich)
Kyle, lives in Thomaston and is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He is hoping to sell his ‘grabber green’ 1975 Ford Maverick before winter sets in. (Photo by Susan Mustapich)
Scott Rocknak of Camden was given his 1920 Model T when he was born. His father had two Model Ts, the one he gave to Scott and another he sold to buy Rocknak’s mother’s wedding ring. (Photo by Susan Mustapich)

(Photo by Susan Mustapich)THOMASTON –The Fourth of July is celebrated the entire day in Thomaston, from the late morning Main Street parade to fireworks after dark.
In the middle of the day, community members and visitors gather for food, music, children’s activities and more. The crowd bought up over 200 chicken barbeque dinners in a flash, children ran around and tried out an obstacle course, bouncy house and water slide, a steel band turned out upbeat tunes and car enthusiasts showed and talked about their vehicles.
