Agenda set for RSU 71 board meeting Feb. 14

BELFAST — The agenda for the upcoming Regional School Unit 71 school board meeting has been set.

The meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the high school’s band room. 

Attendees can participate via Zoom or in-person with masks mandated for those attending in-person. Should un-masked individuals be present, the board says it will pause the meeting and instead conduct the meeting via Zoom at 6:30 p.m.

$ 1.3 million dollar grant awarded to BAHS teachers Liz Small, Dave Thomas, Lisa White, and Chip Lagerbom by The RISE (Maine Center for Research in Stem Education): Model Program to Engage Students in Authentic, Technology-Infused Coastal Research and Monitoring: Building Student Data Literacy and Career Competency This project will introduce and investigate an innovative model for using authentic community-relevant research to deepen students’ STEM knowledge and skills, while building strong community connections between Maine’s coastal school districts and their communities.
