After 15 months of Zoom, Lincolnville Select Board to convene in person
LINCOLNVILLE — March 23, 2020 was the last in-person Lincolnville Select Board meeting before the pandemic forced closures and the tidal wave shift to Zoom — “almost seems like yesterday,” said Town Administrator David Kinney. But all that is changing Monday evening, June 14, when the board members will gather for the first time in 15 months at the town office.
For those who have gotten accustomed to online meetings, not to worry: Lincolnville will continue to broadcast via its YouTube channel, and on local access cable television.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m., with a full agenda that includes furthering the discussion about expanding broadband to all parts of town, as well as a discussion concerning the possible creation of a noise ordinance.
The latter was requested as an agenda item by a Select Board member, and was prompted by a recent cannon-like occurrence that was heard in many parts of town, causing alarm and bewilderment.
