ROCKLAND — Adventure Advertising purchased the Rockland copy and print shop Good Impressions on Friday, November 19, 2021.

Dana Start has owned Good Impressions for over 30 years and serviced the local communities with printing, and copy services from his location at 33 Park Street in Rockland for the last 15 years. Start has been a fixture in the local printing community for nearly 50 years offering photocopy services and printing of booklets, newsletters, town reports, business cards, brochures, and much more, according to Adventure Advertising, in a news release.

“I appreciate the community and the customers that have supported my business for over 30 years,” said Dana Start, in the release. “It is important to me that these customers can still be serviced locally after I retire.  Adventure Advertising will be taking over my business and has a reputation for customer service and quality that my customers will benefit from. I am glad to see them step in to ensure my services continue and my customers can still get the printing options they need locally.”

Adventure Advertising will continue the copy and printing operations of Good Impressions at the current location on Park Street in Rockland, and will also offer the additional products and services they provide for businesses. This will include signs, banners, vehicle graphics, boat lettering, screen printing and embroidery, laser engraving, and other printing, advertising and graphic services.  

“We are excited to continue the business that Good Impressions has provided in Rockland for many years, and add our other services to the offering,” said Dale Landrith, president of Adventure Advertising. “We work to offer all of the printing and advertising services that Midcoast Maine businesses need, and the addition of copy and paper printing services makes sense for our customers.  The acquisition of Good Impressions allows us to offer more options for restaurant menu printing, quick turnaround business cards, brochures, town reports, and mailers in-house, and improve our turnaround times and pricing.  We’re excited to have a new location in Rockland and be a part of the downtown community.” 

Adventure Advertising is owned and operated by Alyssa and Dale Landrith. The company was purchased in 2019 from long-time owners, Joseph and Virginia Ryan. In 2020, Adventure Advertising also purchased Crowning Touch Embroidery to add additional custom apparel options for local customers. 

Since 2019, Adventure Advertising has added local jobs increasing its team from 8 in 2019 to 11 at the present time.
