Darling Missy is a thoroughly delightful cat who often seems to be overlooked, and we can't figure out why. She doesn't like other cats a whole lot; in fact, being in a room with other cats makes her just the tiniest bit grumpy. But she adores dogs and takes great pleasure in being in their company! Whenever we take one of our dogs for a walk, she is the first one to come up to the fence to greet them. Sometimes she'll do a little sniffing and rub herself against them, and even the more excitable dogs don't seem to bother her. If you're a dog person who hasn't had a cat because you weren't sure how the dynamics would work out, Missy is for you. She'll do wonderfully in a house without other cats, but for sure she wouldn't mind a canine friend.

Emma is really still a youngster at 8-months-old. This beautiful baby loves everyone and everything she meets — people and other dogs — and she even seems to be okay with cats... just as long as they give her attention and want to play with her. She adores going on long walks, and she really enjoys car rides. Emma was one of the P.A.W.S. dogs who participated in last Saturday's P.A.W.S. On Parade, and she did a great job.

We still need volunteers, whether you can make a commitment to certain hours every week or if you just have a little free time and would like to help out for an hour or two. Please come in any time to talk to one of our staff members. We'd love to have you.

We bet you're all happy to be outside in the spring weather after the unspeakable winter (about which we will say no more, though we could).
