Writing advice from authors who have done the work and know what works!
Romance and PNR live on TikTok and KU page reads. Nonfiction makes money on email lists and Amazon Ads. Sci-fi and fantasy do well on BookBub featured deals. Literary moves through Goodreads and Substack. Pick the one that fits your genre, not the one that's loud on Reddit this month.
Also, none of those platforms work without strong metadata. And that's what everybody should agree on. Categories, keywords, blurb, and comps decide whether Amazon's algorithm shows your book to the readers you're paying TikTok or Amazon Ads to send. Most "my ads don't convert" posts are actually metadata problems wearing an ads costume. Get the listing tight first, then pick one platform and go deep on it for 90 days before adding a second. Look into ManuscriptReport if you need help here.
