West Bay Rotary members took a break from laying down the flooring for the last home in Habitat's Philbrick Commons pocket neighborhood in Rockland this Saturday, January 6 to mark the official dedication of the pavilion built by WBR members earlier in the season.

West Bay Rotarians helped build all 12 housing units at Philbrick Commons over the past couple years and the pavilion was the club's gift to the neighborhood.

For those wondering whether the final structure is a "gazebo" (as originally described in our fundraising raffle) or a "pavilion," the latter is typically defined as "a usually open, sometimes ornamental structure in a garden, park, or place of recreation that is used for entertainment or shelter." This pavilion then will surely host many a gathering for the new residents of Philbrick... and their friends.
