**Summer Camps at OHTM**

Join us at the museum this summer for exciting new education camps which allow children to experience invention, engineering, and work with alternate forms of energy.
 
OHTM's Education Department will lead camps designed for ages 4-12, all of which utilize STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) teaching tools to inspire future transportation pioneers! Sign up below to enroll your child in one of these programs and learn more.

Camps for Ages 4-5

June 27-29: Explorers Take Flight

9am – 12pm  |  Ages 4-5

Members $75 / Non-members $90

Snack Included

Campers will build, and test airplane designs, learn how airplanes fly and explore the inner workings of an aircraft. Students will get to create their own way to communicate while in the aircraft and in the watchtower!

 

Camps for Ages 4-5

July 11-13: Storybook Science
9am – 12pm  |  Ages 4-5
Members $75 / Non-members $90
Snack Included

Campers will test out science experiments from different storybooks to see how science influences so many things around them! This camp allows your camper to explore the world of science through story time and exploration!

 

  

 

Camps for Ages 6-8
June 27-29: Racing to OHTM!
9am – 3pm  |  Ages 6-8
Members $160 / Non-Members $170

Zoom to OHTM to learn all about the history and science of racing. Campers will witness the evolution of racing: taking them from the dirt track to Formula One. Split into three teams, they will compete for the first ever OHTM RACE-A-THON DERBY CUP in games, experiments, and challenges throughout the week. Do they have what it takes to win?

 

  

 

Camps for Ages 6-8

July 11-13: OHTM Jr. Barn Stormin' Circus!
9am – 3pm  |  Ages 6-8

Take off and soar through the air with OHTM! Campers will be guided through the history and science of flying as they design their own planes, experiment, and complete pilot training. Grab your goggles and cap and join the barnstormers here at the museum.

July 25-27: Full STEAM ahead!
9am – 3pm  |  Ages 6-8

Campers will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math in this fun explorative camp! Each day will be an exploration of play, innovation and design that will give students the opportunity to be a Solver, Tinkerer, Engineer, Artist, and a Mathematician!

 

 

 

Camps for Ages 6-8

August 8-10: Adventures in Space
9am – 3pm  |  Ages 6-8

Blast off from Owls Head into space! We will move through the week exploring Earth through flight then blast off to explore strange new worlds. Whether it's completing space training or landing on Mars, we will boldly go where no camp has gone before!

 

 

 

Campers Ages 9-12
July 18-20: Don’t Try this at Home!
9am – 3pm |  Ages 9-12

Ever wanted to try something but worried your parents will get mad at you for the mess? Campers will explore the messy and experimental side of science in this camp. Through testing different phases of matter, gas pressure and more campers will be able to explore science they can’t try at home!

 

 

 

Campers Ages 9-12
August 1-3: Weird Science

9am – 3pm |  Ages 9-12

Campers will explore three different fields of science: Engineering, trying to redesign a park from flooding. Biology, why do some forms of transportation remind you of animals? Students will study Biomimicry and chemistry, where they must invent a new material for toy making! Campers will see just how weird science can be through exploration; they will see that science is in everything!
