Waldoboro police beat: Tree cutting on private land, unwanted objects, stolen hubcaps
Set. 23-Oct. 6. Waldoboro officer’s responded to 143 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Sept. 23
Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Devin Davis, 27, of Friendship, on four warrants.
Officer Larry Hesseltine charged Jordan Paradise, 18, of Waldoboro with burglary, theft and violation of conditional release.
Sept. 24
Officer Larry Hesseltine summonsed Timothy MacArthur, 48, of Rockland for speed.
Hesseltine is investigating a report of a residential, stealing money and medications.
Hesseltine is investigating a report of criminal mischief to her mailbox.
Officer Christopher Spear summonsed Michelle Wasielewski, 39, of Rockland, for failure to produce license.
Sept. 25
Spear investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 3 p.m. Meredith Perry, 40, of Spruce Head, was driving a 2005 Nissan sedan. Daniel Ciaburri, 27, of Cheshire, Conn., was driving a 2008 Mazda sedan. John Lazaro-Beckman, 32, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2011 Ford sedan. There were no injuries. All three vehicles were traveling west and stopped in traffic on the Atlantic Highway. Lazaro-Beckman was traveling west also, failed to see the Mazda stopped, struck it and pushed it into the back of the Nissan.
Hesseltine arrested John Wyman, 42, of Waldoboro for attempted gross sexual assault.
Sept. 26
Hesseltine is investigating a report of the theft of a Fedex package, valued at $50.
Sept. 27
Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $15.01 gasoline drive off. The driver was found and returned to pay for the gasoline.
Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 8:20 p.m. Debra Townsend-Sokoll, 61, of Nobleboro, was driving a 2008 Toyota sedan. James Corbin, 50, of Nobleboro, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet sedan. Townsend-Sokoll was traveling west on the Atlantic Highway. Corbin was traveling the same direction behind her. Both vehicles were in the inside travel lane going up the hill, with slower traffic to keep to the right lane. Corbin went out around the Toyota on the right using the slower traffic lane. Townsend-Sokoll moved to the right to change lanes and did not see him, running into the side of Chevrolet. There were no injuries.
Sergeant Jamie Wilson arrested David Little, 62, of Nobleboro, for operating under the influence.
Sept. 28
Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $32.02 gasoline drive off.
Wilson is investigating a report that someone cut down trees on private land.

Hesseltine is investigating a report of stolen hubcaps.
Oct. 3
Hesseltine arrested a 17 year old juvenile male for eluding an officer, operating without a license and driving to endanger.
Hesseltine arrested Benjamin Dumdey, 42, of Arizona, for operating under the influence.
Fuller is investigating a report of the theft of money.
Fuller investigated an accident on the Old Augusta Road at 12:44 p.m. Shannon Condon, 43, Washington, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet sedan eastbound. He over into the westbound lane, off the roadway, and struck a pole. There were no injuries.
