Free Community Tea Party at Belfast Boathouse, April 27

BELFAST — The community is invited to a Free Community Tea Party on Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Belfast Boat House.
"Enjoy a delightful afternoon of home-made scones and freshly brewed tea, and the company of your neighbors," said Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County, in a news release.
The Culinary Arts students at Waldo County Technical Center will bake the scones. While the tea and scones are free, donations to support the Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County are encouraged and appreciated.
In addition to the tea party, there will be a Grand Bake Sale featuring an assortment of homemade treats.
At the same time, the annual Organic Seedling Sale will take place, with seedlings generously donated by Village Side Farm in Freedom.
The Friendship Sampler Quilt Guild in Belfast has generously donated a handcrafted quilt for the fundraiser. Measuring 59 x 90 inches, this stunning quilt features a border of doves and flowers. The drawing will take place at the Community Tea Party on Sunday, April 27, at 4 p.m. Each tickets is a $5 donation with all proceeds going to the Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County.
This annual community gathering is sponsored by local businesses that believe in bringing people together for a good cause, according to Hospice Volunteers. All proceeds from the bake sale and seedling sale will directly benefit the Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County, supporting their work in the community.
"Come sip tea, enjoy home-baked treats, and shop for fresh seedlings—all while supporting a cause that makes a difference," said Hospice. "We look forward to seeing you there."
