Merryspring online with John Fromer: New to Gardening in Maine?
John Fromer will lead an online presentation called, New to Gardening in Maine?, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, March 18, at 12 p.m.
You may be new to gardening, new to Maine gardening or an experienced Maine gardener looking for growing tips, specific varieties for Maine gardens, or season extension ideas. John Fromer, a Maine Master Gardener volunteer for 25 years, has been a Maine gardener since 1973. Since 1998, he and his wife, Kathy, have grown flowers, vegetables, and herbs at their farm in Appleton.
Specializing in gourmet vegetables, culinary herbs and cut flowers, the Fromers have grown hundreds of varieties which are acclimated to our Maine climate. The talk will include tips and tricks, advice, and resource information you can use right away.
