BELFAST — The Maine Forest Service’s Project Canopy and Belfast Free Library are working together to coordinate the giveaway of year-old White Spruce seedlings.

Residents can register to receive a free kit, which will include a White Spruce seedling, care sheet, stickers, bookmark, Tree Owners Manual and Letter of Adoption.

Stop in at the library during April to register for your free seedling kit. You will be contacted in early May to come and pick up your kit. Seedlings will need to be picked up before May 15 and planted soon after in order to grow successfully.
