Pen Bay Chamber announces some of this year’s winners, others to be named during gala, Feb. 10

ROCKPORT — The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce will once again host a Year in Review Awards Gala to recognize those who have made extraordinary contributions to the community in the past year. The Gala will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Samoset Report. The event is open to the public and tickets are now on sale.

Congratulations to the following businesses and organizations that were nominated and selected as this year’s Award recipients:

Beacon Award: Studio JBONE;

Environmental Leader Award: Georges River Land Trust;

Innovation in Business Award: Steel House;

Small Business of the Year: Graffam Bros. Seafood Market.

The esteemed “Community Person of the Year” award winner will be announced at the Gala.

The Chamber will also present Milestone Anniversary Awards to Chamber member businesses and organizations celebrating anniversaries in 25-year increments. Honorees in 2023 include Bartlett Woods (25 years), WanderWoman Tours (25 years), Project Puffin (50 years), Wayfinder Schools (50 years), Maine Media (50 years), Farnsworth Art Museum (75 years), and The Strand Theatre (100 years).

The Chamber Gala will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Samoset Resort. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner, awards ceremony, and an after party with music by DJ Dan Miller.

New to the Gala this year is a Table Décor Raffle, whereby attendees have the chance to win centerpieces that have been designed and donated by member businesses and organizations.
