SEARSMONT — Ernest H. Wing Sr., 81, of Searsmont, passed away October 27 at home with his wife by his side.                                

He was born in Searsmont to Harold and Burdena (Pease) Wing on July 7, 1941.

He graduated from Appleton High School in 1959 where he played baseball and basketball.

Ernie was a hard worker, working with his father in  the woods when he was 10. He drove truck for many years. In 1993, he bought a skidder and spent his last working years doing what he loved.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Marilyn; son, Ernie Jr.; daughter, Michelle and daughter-in-law Dianna; his brothers Maurice and Arnold; sisters Muriel, Barbara, Virginia, Linda, Harriett, and Regina; brothers in-law Glenn and Milon; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Carlene and brother Reggie; as well as special people in his life, Jason, Loren and Larry.  

He will be greatly missed.

There will be a gathering to celebrate his life on July 8 2023.
