Prospect to vote for municipal officials June 8, hold town meeting June 12

    PROSPECT — The Town of Prospect will be participating in a municipal election for municipal officers Tuesday, June 8 and will in the town’s annual town meeting Saturday, June 12. 

    Voting for the June 8 election will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town office for one select board seat and one road commissioner position. 

    Diane Terry is the lone select board candidate. 

    Charles Boynton and Harland Gamble Sr. are vying for the road commissioner role. 

    The annual town meeting will be held June 12 at 9 a.m. in the fire house.

    Warrant Highlights

    Article 47. To see what sum of money the Town will raise and/or appropriate for the Culvert Replacement of Wescot stream bridge replacement on Hawes Bridge Rd. Selectmen and Budget Committee recommend raising $15,000.

    Article 48. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and/or appropriate from surplus to reduce taxes. Selectmen and Budget Committee recommend appropriating up to $125,000.
