Free Blueberry Picks at Beech Hill Preserve: Round two

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has submitted the following:

We still have berries! Coastal Mountains Land Trust invites the public to register for a second full week of community free picks, from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14!

In preparation, we want to be as clear as possible about the steps put in place to keep participants safe.

Pre-registration is required in order for us to keep the number of participants per time slot within State of Maine guidelines; each day has four sessions which are limited to 50 participants at a time. Please go to our website www.coastalmountains.org to register.

On Monday, August 10/Tuesday, August 11/and Friday, August 14, picking is available at these times:

Session 1:   9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Session 2:   10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Session 3:   12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Session 4:   1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, August 12, and Thursday, August 13, sessions are at these times:

Session 1:   12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Session 2:   1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Session 3:   3: p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Session 4:   4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Session 5:   6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

 

Participants are REQUIRED to bring a mask (although will not need to wear if distanced from others), their own drinking water, and containers.  Hand washing stations will be available. Remember that dogs are not allowed in the fields, so please leave them at home.  If you have any questions or concerns, email info@coastalmountains.org.

 

Beech Hill Preserve in Rockport is a 295-acre conservation property, managed for wildlife habitat, certified organic blueberry production, historic preservation, and scenic values.

 

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 12,000 acres, offering 45 miles of trails for public recreation.
