ROCKPORT — The Midcoast Recreation Center will be hosting its seventh annual benefit golf tournament at the Goose River Golf Club in Rockport on Friday, Aug. 21. 

The event, running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will support the MRC’s “Kids Come First” campaign by raising funds to support the MRC’s introductory sports programs. 

By supporting the programs, such as 6U ice hockey and 8U tennis, kids in the Midcoast are able to participate in the programs for free. 

Cost is $100 per person, or $400 for a team. 

Tee sponsorship is available for $200. There are 26 opportunities for sponsorship at this level. This sponsorship package includes a sign at a tee. 

A foursome team with tee sponsor package is available for $500. There are 10 opportunities for sponsorship at this level. This package includes a foursome team and a sign at a tee. 

A lunch and cart prize sponsor package is available for $500. There are four opportunities for sponsorship at this level. This package includes signage on all material and media releases, plus a sign at the putting green.  

A major sponsor package is available for $1,000. There are four opportunities for sponsorship at this level. This package includes a foursome team, logo on bag items, premier event signage, and recognition in tournament publicity. 

8U tennis red ball sponsor is available for $5,000. There is one opportunity for sponsorship at this level. This package includes a foursome team, logo on bag items, event signage, recognition in tournament publicity and at the event, and permanent recognition on the MRC wall of donors. 

6U ice hockey sponsor is available for $5,000. There is one opportunity for sponsorship at this level. This package includes a foursome team, logo on bag items, event signage, recognition in tournament publicity and at the event, and permanent recognition on the MRC wall of donors.
