SEARSPORT — In his regular Radio Searsport email dispatches, resident Dick Desmarais seeks to keep the community updated on pending municipal and school board meetings, local fisheries hearings and other items of interest.
Following is the most recent Radio Searsport dispatch, dated April 14.
• Monday, April 15. The Town Hall will be closed for the holiday.
• Monday, April 15. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the North Searsport Station Committee will meet in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
• Tuesday, April 16. The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen will take place in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised. At this meeting, a public hearing will be held on the Searsport CDBG Grant application. The purpose of the grant application is to assist low and moderate income homeowners in repairing or replacing their home. Public comments will be solicited at this hearing and will be submitted as part of the application. All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend the hearing.
• Wednesday, April 17. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the Planning Board will meet in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
• Thursday, April 18. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the Historical Preservation/Cemetery Committee will meet in the Town Hall.
• Saturday, April 20. Starting at 4:30 p.m., there will be a fundraising spaghetti supper at the Lions Club on Prospect St. for the Paul Tripp family. Paul, and children Chrisy and Damien, live in Frankfort and recently lost their home to a fire. Serving begins at 4:30 p.m. and the price will be by donation.
