Being the first time that I can vote in my lifetime, I am voting for State Senator Dave Miramant

I am writing to express my strong support for State Senator Dave Miramant, who is running for reelection this fall. I think he’s a great Senator for this area, and especially for people like me, who are young people inspired by great leaders.
I live in Cushing, and I am a senior at Oceanside High School. When I was a sophomore, Senator Miramant came to Career Day and gave a speech about being involved in politics and government. I knew at that instant that’s what I wanted to do with my life. He was inspiring then, and he still is today. I hope people like me can run for office in the future and do the kind of job that Dave Miramant has done for all of us here in Knox County.
Also, as young person, I am very concerned about the effects of climate change. It really matters to young people that leaders like Dave Miramant are looking out for what’s best for our environment, working towards solutions that will make it possible for clean air and clean water, lobstering and everything else related to the ocean, far into the future. Working on and understanding issues like climate change is what we have and need in leaders like Senator Dave Miramant.
With all that in mind, and it being the first time that I can vote in my lifetime, I am voting for State Senator Dave Miramant, and I hope everyone else in our community does, as well.
