A Winterport man was indicted for gross sexual assault by a Waldo County Grand Jury Nov. 16.

Bradley S. Hatch, 34, was arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a visitor to his home Oct. 7.

The victim, who visited the hospital following the assault, contacted law enforcement to report the incident.  

After interviewing the victim police learned they had gone to Hatch’s residence willingly, and that the two had spent time together prior to the assault. It was when the victim tried to go to sleep in the home that the attack occurred, according to court documents.  

In a subsequent interview Hatch denied the allegations being made against him.
