Waldoboro man nominated by Governor to marine resources advisory council

    AUGUSTA — The Maine Senate will convene for a confirmation session Thursday, April 22 at 5 p.m. in the House Chamber to vote on for the purpose of voting on various nominations made by Governor Janet Mills and one nomination from the Aroostook County Commissioners.

    The Senate President has the authority to call the Maine Senate to reconvene for a confirmation session pursuant to Article V, Part 1, Section 8 of the Maine Constitution.

    Business will be conducted in the House chamber and in compliance with the Legislative Council’s COVID-19 health and safety policy.

    Assigned seating will be separated by more than six feet and each desk in the chamber will be supplied with a bottle of hand sanitizer. The desks and microphones will be sanitized. Voting tablets will also be sanitized and placed on the member’s assigned desk. These tablets must remain at the desk at all times. Senate members may use their tablets for voting and the paperless chamber program. A hand sanitizing station will also be set up at the entrance to the chamber.
