BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity July 15-27. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

July 4 (late entries)

Judith Mellow, 72, of Rehoboth Beach, Massachusetts, was issued a summons for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle on Route 3 in Montville.

James E. Glidden, 35, of Montville, was arrested for operating under the influence on Thompson Ridge Road in Montville.

July 15

Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Atlantic Highway in Northport. The driver was uninjured and their 1983 Mercedes sustained functional damage.

July 17

Scott A. Jones, 53, of Freedom, was issued a summons for driving to endanger on Bryant Road in Freedom.

July 18

Penny L. Rigby, 56, of Jackson, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Waldo Avenue in Belfast.

July 20

James Littlefield, 48, of Belmont, was arrested for operating under the influence, violating conditions of release (two counts), and operating after habitual offender revocation on Augusta Road in Belmont.

July 25

Charles Fletcher, 52, of Montville, was arrested for operating under the influence on Belfast Road in Knox.

July 26

Christopher F. Beeton, 30, of Belmont, was arrested for gross sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a minor in Jackson stemming from an incident June 1, 2016.
