BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 12-26. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

Jan. 12

Howard W. Whitcomb, 32, of Brooks, was issued summonses for criminal mischief, assault, and refusing to sign a uniform summons and complaint on McTaggert Street in Brooks.

Robert Hughes, 41, of Waldo,  was issued summonses for criminal mischief and assault on McTaggert Street in Brooks.

Jan. 19

Deputy Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on North Main Street in Winterport. The operator of a 2014 Mazda was traveling down a private driveway and was unable to stop at the end due to icy conditions. The vehicle slid into Main Street where it struck a 2007 GMC traveling the road. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and neither driver was injured.

Deputy Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Monroe Road in Winterport. The operator of a 1990 Chevrolet truck, used only to plow the respective family driveway, struck an oncoming vehicle while clearing snow. The truck entered into the roadway with the plow portion going beyond the centerline and into the opposite lane of travel, where it struck the front driver side of a 2009 Chevrolet. Neither driver was injured in the accident.

Jan. 24

Leslie M. Lacasse, 39, of China, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Waldo Avenue in Belfast.
