BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 2-17.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named.

Jan. 2

Stephen Smith, 36, of Brooks, was arrested for violating a protection order on Veterans Highway in Brooks. 

Jan. 5

Eric Stevens, 32, of Orrington, was issued a summons for operating without a license (90+ days beyond expiration) on Monroe Road in Monroe.

Jan. 6

Shawn Bristol, 31, of Thorndike, was arrested for domestic violence assault, and violating a condition of release on Purple Heart Highway in Brooks. 

Jan. 10

Mahlon P. Palmer, 90, of Knox, was arrested for driving to endanger, domestic violence assault, and criminal restraint on Waterville Road in Waldo.
