BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity May 2-7. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    May 2

Albert F. Hubbard, 30, of Freedom, was issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance on School Street in Unity.

    May 3

Waylon-Hawk Millard, 28, of Unity, was arrested for violating conditions of release on Main Street in Unity.

Gerald F. Rolerson, 61, of Appleton, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating without a license on Route 220 in Liberty.

    May 4

Corporal Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a collision involving two ATVs being operated by a father and son, both of Burnham. The son, identified as Zachary Erving, 20, had slowed his ATV to turn into a driveway when the ATV being driven by his father, Gerald Erving, 47, clipped his son’s rear tire with the front tire of his own SUV. The collision, which occurred on Mount Road in Burnham, caused Gerald Erving to be ejected from the vehicle where he was thrown onto the pavement, striking his head. The elder Erving was transported for medical attention by ambulance before being taken by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Zachary Erving was uninjured in the vehicle. According to the report, neither men were wearing helmets, and speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the accident.
