Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: violating protective order, OUI

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Oct. 12-16. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Oct. 12

    Deputy David Wight responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Cape Jellison Road in Stockton Springs where an operator that had just pulled out of a driveway left the roadway. The driver reportedly told Wight they were trying to tune the radio when the vehicle ran off the side of the road and struck several mailboxes. The driver was uninjured. The 2013 Toyota sustained functional damage.

    Garet Murphy, 21, of Benton, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating after suspension on Center Road in Montville.

    Oct. 13

    Woodie W. Sherwood, 33, of Winterport, was arrested for operating after suspension on Stream Road in Winterport.

    Oct. 14

    Damion M. Dyer, 41, of Winslow, was arrested for operating under the influence on Prairie Street in Unity.

    Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Kenney Road in Brooks. The driver and passenger were uninjured. The 2007 Ford sustained functional damage.

    Adam Giguere, 47, of Palermo, was arrested for violating a protection order on Hostile Valley Road.
