The Leshers are providing Rockport citizens with the potential and means to create a great public space.  

Imagine the five neighborhoods of Rockport socializing together and enjoying each other’s company.  There is something unmistakably special about a public space that fosters socialization.  When people see friends,  meet neighbors, and feel comfortable interacting with strangers, they tend to feel a stronger sense of place and attachment to their community.

We know it can happen with events and programs that bring the community together.  We encourage Rockport citizens to come forward and vote yes for a new Community Park that will be sociable, have a variety of uses, and activities.  It will be well connected to its surroundings, comfortable, welcoming, and a driver of the local economy.

Vote yes for a Rockport community park, and let’s show the Leshers how much we appreciate their generosity by approving Article 3 with an overwhelming majority.
