The work that Denise Munger has done as a Rockport Select Board member has been spectacular.  I have known and worked with Denise on important issues for Rockport. Denise has worked tirelessly for Rockport and all its citizens. Committees like Legacy Rockport, the Ordinance Review Committee and the Rockport’s RES site are just a few of her involved efforts. Denise Munger is a hard worker on many issues that are important to Rockport and its citizens.  

With Legacy Rockport, she immediately embraced the group’s mission and support of Rockport’s rich and important history.  On the Ordinance Review Committee, she worked closely with our members and with her legal background, took the extra time to understand our Land Use Ordinance and ways in which changes could enhance and improve Rockport’s future. 

From this initial work with Denise and continuing work with her on the future of the RES site, wastewater management, and new housing and business opportunities to expand Rockport’s tax base, I have come to know her as someone who cares deeply about Rockport, takes time to listen and respond to residents, values everyone’s input and voice, and looks for ways to help make a difference to the residents of Rockport. 

With the challenges facing Rockport, we need Denise on the Select Board.  She is fair, a good listener, and looks for ways to find a middle ground and build consensus on important issues.
