Christina Olson is famous, thanks to Andrew Wyeth.  Alvaro, Christina’s brother, and caregiver for many years, never gained recognition, but from his friend, Andrew.

Al and Christina’s grand nephew, Sam Olson, has had a dream of opening a lobster roll joint on his father’s property, just down the road from Christina’s World in Cushing, for a few years.

Sam’s father, John, had a restaurant called “Our Place” on the wharf there in the 1970s. I was a waitress. Sam was a lobsterman. We hung out on the wharf where the lobster boats will be bringing in their hauls.

Now Sam’s dream has become a reality. He’ll be serving lobster rolls made with the lobster fresh off the boats.

Come on down to Cushing for some fabulous food, in a beautiful spot on the St. George River that’s been in a lobstering family for over 100 years.
