Thorndike woman dies from injuries in Aug. 29 crash
SEARSMONT — Maine State Police Friday are reporting that an elderly Thorndike woman has died from injuries she received in a two-car crash a week ago in Searsmont.
Anne Brown, 84, died earlier this week at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to State Trooper Desiree Wuthenow in a press release.
Brown was with her husband, Willard Brown, 81, who was driving when he pulled out onto Route 3, into the path of another car, according to police.
That 2001 Subaru was being drive by 58-year-old Peter Kassen of Lincolnville. Kassen, his wife, Margaret, 57, and their 21-year-old daughter, Hope, were all injured in the crash, in which the Browns were also both injured.
Willard Brown and the Kassen family have since been released from the hospital, where they has been treated for their injuries.
Wuthenow said “no charges are being contemplated” against either driver.
