Thefts increase from one Rockland business; police ask parents to discuss consequences of stealing
ROCKLAND — Over the past two months, Rockland Police have received an increased number of reported thefts from Walgreens in Rockland, according to the police department on its Facebook page. Multiple juveniles have been charged and more charges are expected.
Store staff are aware of the issue and taking steps to increase security, said the posting.
“We ask that any parents of middle and/or high school aged children that frequent the store discuss the issue with their children and talk to them about stealing and the consequences of such actions,” said RPD. “Rockland Police are committed to working with the community and local businesses to solve such problems.”
Anyone with information regarding thefts from Walgreens or any other local business is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Alex Gaylor at (207) 594-0316 Ext. 253 or at AGAYLOR@ROCKLANDMAINE.GOV
