Sundog Outdoor Expeditions is grateful for wildly fun polar plunge

Wed, 02/05/2020 - 2:30pm

Sundog Outdoor Expeditions would like to thank all the hearty plungers, sponsors, and community supporters for a wildly fun polar plunge on Saturday, February 1, as part of Camden’s Winterfest celebration. There were more than 30 plungers this year including two enthusiastic teams of plungers: Team Erin and Team CedarWorks.

Each participant received a mug from Evergreen Home Improvements, a towel from Camden National Bank and a blaze orange hat from Sundog Outdoor Expeditions. And there was hot chocolate for ALL donated by Boynton McKay.

Prizes were handed out for the biggest fundraisers. Team Erin won an escape room experience at TRAPT on route 1 in Rockport. Team Cedarworks received a half day of rock or ice climbing from Equinox Guiding Service. Alden Rousseau won a Harbor to Harbor sea-kayaking trip with Maine Sport Outfitters, and Mary Lou Cook won a full year membership to MRC.

Sundog OE would also like to thank Camden Fire Department and Northeast Health Ambulance Service for being present and providing scene safety.
