For the holiday season, the Strand Theatre presents a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ classic story A Christmas Carol by House Manager Liz McLeod. The reading is available to hear for free, by streaming from the Strand website or as a podcast on Spotify, Stitcher, or Apple Podcast platforms.

“It’s our special Christmas gift to you – a Strand Theatre exclusive,” said McLeod, who is also a veteran radio performer, in a news release. “We’ll be bringing the true spirit – in fact, all three of the true holiday spirits – to vivid life in this reading of ‘A Christmas Carol.’ It’s just the thing for family listening!”

Condensed from Dickens’ own reading abridgment, the 64-minute audio presentation will be accented by McLeod’s nearly two dozen distinctive voice characterizations.
