Special select board meeting in Camden to decide Dec. 26 ‘Employee Appreciation Day’ off
CAMDEN — The town of Camden announced in an email at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, that the Select Board is convening a special board meeting to consider “approving Dec. 26 as an Employee Appreciation Day.”
The request is for this year only, at this point, according to Select Board chairman Martin Cates.
“If passed, Pat [Town Manager Patricia Finnigan] can close the town office Dec. 26, which really make sense as state offices are closed and we won’t be able to issue permits or register vehicles and many other towns are closing that day as well this year,” said Cates.
The Camden Select Board meets in the Washington Street conference room, and meetings are both televised on cable Channel 22 and streamed live online via Town Hall Streams.
